The National Magazine Awards Foundation and Department of Canadian Heritage are

All three finalists will received tickets to the 32nd annual National Magazine Awards gala on June 5. The
winner received a $1000 prize and an award certificate on stage at the gala. The 2 Honourable Mention
recipients each received an award certificate.
About the Best Student Writer
award
The National Magazine Award for Best Student Writer
is awarded each year to a full-time student whose non-fiction or journalistic work in a Canadian consumer
magazine or university/college magazine shows the highest degree of craft and promise.
